The Head of Legal will have the responsibility for the Legal function in Pexip across all geographies, provide legal expertise, help shape strategy development and support the business in commercial and contractual matters on a day-to-day basis.

 

Strong communication skills are necessary as well as solid analytical and business acumen and experience in the technology industry.

The position will work closely with various functions within the company, in addition to top management and Board.

 

The position will be based in Oslo.

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate customer contracts and supplier contracts as well as licensing agreements with Pexip both as a Licensee and a Licensor
  • Developing internal legal guidelines and templates
  • Identify and address key legal risks in R&D and business development initiatives, as well as other parts of Pexip
  • Be aware of legal and regulatory developments that may impact Pexip and help drive necessary actions to mitigate risks
  • Support the development of the Group’s entity structure
  • Support the CFO and Board on the legal requirements of being a publicly listed company
  • Supporting the organization in all kinds of legal business issues
  • Coordinate legal support with external legal counsel in Norway and abroad

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience from contract and commercial law
  • Experience from commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers
  • Previous experience working as an inhouse lawyer is preferred
  • Experience from international business is preferred
  • University degree in law
  • Solid analytical and communication skills in both Norwegian and English 
  • Business interest
