Pexip, a leading player in the video collaboration space, is looking for a hard-working, self-starting Developer Evangelist to support both existing customers and the sales team to drive new business focused on customizations for customer requirements, and integrations with existing customer solutions.

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen balance of technical ability with the interpersonal skills to help customers understand how the utilization of Pexip technology can increase the value of their existing applications, and work with customers to deliver this.

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with local sales and engineering teams to provide pre-sales consultancy with customers as to the possibilities available with customization and integrations with Pexip software.
  • Work with customers in pre- and post-sales activities to advise and assist with development of integrations with Pexip products.
  • Develop and document examples of API usage and customizations to aid customer development teams and to build a library for Pexip’s own use. 
  • Help develop and demonstrate best practices for integration. 
  • Develop and deliver education focused on how to use and integrate with Pexip-specific APIs. 
  • Interface with documentation and technical support teams.

 

This position is based out of our Sydney, Australia office. Whilst the majority of the role can be done remotely, willingness to travel to customers is required.

 

Candidate Qualifications:

 

  • Development experience at minimum in Python and JavaScript.
  • Web development skills including HTML, AngularJS, and CSS.
  • Mobile development and C# experience is a plus.
  • Experience in technical pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support.
  • Working knowledge of the video collaboration industry and related technologies, including SIP, H.323, WebRTC, Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business, firewall traversal, VoIP, etc. 
  • Working knowledge of technologies that help govern IP-based collaboration: firewalls, routers, MPLS networks, media relays, reverse proxies, etc. 
  • Awareness of private cloud compute, such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud. 
  • Demonstrable ability to work within a global team.
  • Capable of developing and communicating creative, but still robust solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems.  
  • Must be willing and eager to learn new technologies. 
  • Fluent in English
  • "Can do" attitude!
