We have an exciting opportunity for an In-house Legal /Legal Contract Manager. The role will among others provide contracting support to enable fast deal closure and support the business to reach commercial and financial success by smart contract management.

You will join a small but hands-on and dedicated team that is helping the business grow and balance commercial opportunities and risk.  We aim to provide legal support to all areas of the global business. You will be reporting to the General Counsel based in Oslo.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contracting, contract negotiation and contract management in all our jurisdictions. This will include customer-, supplier- and other 3rd parties contracts (drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts).
  • Assist the extended legal team, sales, and the General Counsel with day-to-day legal matters.
  • Assist in making related policies, procedures, and guidance materials.
  • Assist in internal coaching concerning pre-contract considerations.
  • Support on ESG related projects and requirements.
  • Maintain electronic management of agreements and formalities, work with Business Operations to further develop the process, templates, and archive systems.
  • Support and or carry out a legal audit and risk assessment to identify areas that can be improved and risk to be mitigated.
  • To provide pragmatic advice on technology-  IP and Data Protection law and deal with ad hoc customer/suppliers-related legal inquiries.
  • Administrative duties and other ad-hoc tasks to support the broader team.
  • Undertaking KYC checks and gathering sensitive documents in support thereof.
  • Preparing slide decks and producing reports of key metrics of legal reporting.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to meet the changing and ongoing needs of the legal team and the broader company.


About you
You have experience with commercial contracts, tenders, and contract governance and know how
to identify and mitigate contract risks. You are structured, eager to learn, you enjoy projects, are organized, and responsive and you are not afraid to reach out for assistance from your team. You will need to be commercially driven.   


Skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with at least 2-4 years post qualification experience (in-house or private practice is an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of contract law, with practical experience drafting and reviewing, negotiating commercial contracts, including experience with international contractual principles and governance.
  • Experience with tenders and public procurement.
  • Understanding of technology, GDPR, and IP law is an advantage.
  • Experience with risk assessments is an advantage.
  • Structured and responsive, and enjoys.
  • The ability to manage a varied workload in a deadline-driven environment (time-management skills).
  • A passion for project management and creating order out of chaos.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A team player who can also work autonomously and drive projects forward.
