Pexip, a leading player in the collaboration space, is looking for a hard-working, self-starting technical trainer. As the Technical Trainer your responsibilities will include the development and delivery of Pexip technical certification training for customers and partners, conducting skills gap analyses, preparing learning material and evaluating results after each training session. For this role, you will work closely with our Solutions Architects and those of our Partners to identify challenges they face on-the-job and recommend ways to increase productivity.  You will also partner with the local account management teams to deliver new training within the region as required. You will work as part of a global group, operating across traditional team lines, serving the global customer base when necessary.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen balance of technical ability with the interpersonal skills needed to help guide other solutions architects to understand how to utilize Pexip technology and enhance the value of their existing applications.

Role and Responsibilities

You will be a key resource in Pexip’s technical development and in driving our recognition and success. The majority of time will be spent with customers and partners, where you will be instrumental in ensuring their success and working with our world class R&D teams in Norway and the UK.   This role requires the delivery of Pexip technical certification training for customers and partners. Occasional travel will be required.

Pexip's Technical Training team is flexible about working locations in order to best meet our customers' needs. We are happy to consider applications from anywhere in the United States although easy access to our Herndon office would be ideal.

 Required qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Trainer or similar role
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning
  • A good working knowledge of the collaboration industry and related protocols, including SIP, H.323, WebRTC, Microsoft Skype for Business, firewall traversal, VoIP etc., 
  • Knowledge of ancillary technologies that help govern IP-based collaboration: firewalls, routers, MPLS networks, media relays, reverse proxies, etc. 
  • Understanding of third-party collaboration solutions such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Skype for Business on-prem/365, Cisco etc
  • Awareness and demonstrable knowledge of commodity compute and virtualization, including VMware and Intel Xeon processors
  • Overview and understanding of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a global team of engineers and account executives
  • Willing and eager to learn new technologies and to go above and beyond in the name of customer and organizational success
  • Additional certification in training is a plus
  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
