We are seeking an enthusiastic, technically-focussed individual who can write customer-facing documentation. Pexip documentation is highly technical in nature - it is mainly aimed at Unified Collaboration experts or technology consultants - and explains how to install, manage and troubleshoot the Pexip platforms.
You’ll be working closely with the existing documentation team, and working alongside software engineers to document features as they are being developed. You’ll also work with customer support, sales engineering, and R&D to understand what information customers require, and how best to provide them with this in an easily-accessible way. As a technical author, you will also be exposed to the Pexip software and service as an administrator would, and your usability feedback is integral to product development.

Although based in the Reading, UK area, Pexip is flexible about working locations and hours.
Qualifications and experience
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years relevant experience in videoconferencing or similar industries.
Proven ability to write clear, concise documentation for a technical audience.
Ability to structure information logically.
Ability to absorb existing information, identify gaps, ask questions, and seek out answers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to produce training materials in a variety of formats (e.g. written guides for trainers, written guides for trainees, training videos, online documentation) is a plus.
Experience with a specialist technical authoring tool such as MadCap Flare is a plus.
Good technical understanding of virtualisation and networking technologies is a plus.
Ability to rely on experience and sound judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to juggle a variety of complicated tasks, and be comfortable working independently.
